Acceptable Use and Anti-Spam Policy
This policy applies to every workspace and every message sent through MessagePilot, whichever channel or sending provider is used. It is part of the Terms of Service. If you are unsure whether something is allowed, ask us before you send.
1. Consent belongs to your business
You may send marketing only to people who agreed to receive it from your business, for the kind of messages you send, through that channel. Consent does not transfer: agreement given to another workspace on MessagePilot, a partner, an affiliate, a previous owner of a list or a different brand does not authorise you. Agreement to receive email is not agreement to receive WhatsApp messages, and the reverse.
2. Lists you may not use
- purchased, rented, traded, borrowed or shared lists;
- addresses or numbers scraped, harvested or generated, including from websites, directories or social media;
- contacts who never had a relationship with your business, or whose consent you cannot show;
- role or distribution addresses (for example
sales@,info@) that did not opt in themselves; - lists you know or should know include people who have opted out.
3. Transactional messages
A transactional message is one the recipient needs because of something they did with your business, such as a receipt, a booking or order update, a password or security notice, a code they asked for, or a reply to their enquiry. It goes only to the person concerned, and only while it is relevant. It may not be used to deliver promotions. If a message would still make sense without the person’s own transaction, treat it as marketing.
4. Marketing messages
- Send only with prior consent as described in section 1.
- Identify your business clearly in the sender name and in the message, and include a valid postal address or other contact details where the law requires them.
- Subject lines and previews must not mislead about the content or the sender.
- Keep sending in line with what people agreed to, and stop contacting people who no longer engage if your consent model requires it.
5. Unsubscribe and opt-out handling
Every marketing email must contain a clear, working unsubscribe link, and you must not remove, hide or break it. Someone who opts out by any route (the link, a reply, a phone call, “STOP” on WhatsApp) must not be sent further marketing from your business. Act on every opt-out promptly, and within any deadline the law sets. You must not ask for payment, a login or more information than the address to process an opt-out.
How MessagePilot helps: every campaign and automation email it sends for you carries an unsubscribe link and one-click unsubscribe headers that mail apps can use. The link is unique to the recipient and to your business: it cannot be used to unsubscribe anyone else, and it opts the person out of your business’s email only. Opening the link shows a confirmation; nothing changes until the person confirms, so security scanners that open links do not unsubscribe people. MessagePilot stops your later campaign and automation emails to anyone who has unsubscribed, including people who unsubscribe after a campaign was scheduled. Opt-outs that reach you any other way you must record yourself, by marking the contact unsubscribed.
6. Bounces, complaints and suppression
You must not re-import, re-add or otherwise work around addresses or numbers that have unsubscribed, hard-bounced or complained, or that we have suppressed. Keep bounce and complaint rates low. A person at MessagePilot reviews accounts with unusually high complaints or bounces, judged in context and with enough sending for the numbers to mean something. A single complaint on a small send is not treated like a pattern across thousands of messages. A review is not an automatic penalty. We pause sending without a review first only where that is needed to stop serious, ongoing harm.
7. Sender identity and verified domains
Send only from domains, mailboxes and numbers your business owns or is authorised to use, and complete any verification we require before sending. When a business verifies a domain with MessagePilot, no other business can add a sending account on it or send campaigns from it. Do not impersonate another person, business, government body, brand or MessagePilot. Do not spoof headers or hide the true origin of a message.
8. Prohibited content and conduct
- phishing, credential harvesting, malware, or links to them;
- fraud, deceptive offers, pyramid or get-rich-quick schemes, or unlicensed financial, gambling or pharmaceutical promotion;
- illegal goods or services, or content that infringes others’ rights;
- sexually explicit content, content that sexualises minors, harassment, threats or hate;
- messages to people under the age at which they can consent where you are sending;
- attempts to evade our limits, monitoring, suppression or filtering, including rotating domains, numbers or workspaces after a block;
- testing, probing or overloading the Service or other customers’ use of it.
9. Records you must keep
For each marketing contact keep a record of how and when they agreed and what they agreed to: the form, page or conversation, the date, and the wording they saw. Keep a record of opt-outs. MessagePilot keeps a consent history for each contact you add: your statement of how they agreed for contacts you add or import, and for our sign-up forms what the person saw, when they submitted it and whether they confirmed by email. It is your own statement, not proof in itself, so keep your underlying records too. When we investigate a complaint we may ask you for this evidence, and you must provide it within the reasonable time we state in our request.
10. How we enforce this policy
We act on complaints, bounce and complaint signals, reports from providers and our own review. Depending on severity we may warn you, ask for evidence, pause campaigns or sender identities, lower your sending limits, remove contacts we believe were collected unlawfully, or suspend or close the workspace under the Terms. Where we can, we tell you first and let you respond. You can ask for any decision to be reviewed at support@cashmint.in.
11. Reporting abuse
If you received a message sent through MessagePilot that you did not ask for, write to support@cashmint.in and include the message with its full headers if you can. You can also use its unsubscribe link. We investigate every report.
